How To Do Wednesday: How To Drink More Water and Why You Should!


Do you drink enough water? I am definitely guilty of not drinking as much as I should! For this reason, I am blogging to motivate us both to drink more water. My guilty pleasure is coffee, which I drink everyday and in larger quantities than I would like to admit. So now that Winter is coming to an end, I know that I need to slow down on the coffee drinking and step up my water consumption.

Bottom line is that your body needs water to stay healthy. A few useful tips to drink more water can include:

  1. Getting a refillable bottle
  2. Setting goals and tracking your water consumption
  3. Cutting out sugary drinks completely
  4. Finding a water that you like (examples: Spring vs Purified, brand preference, etc)
  5. Eat fruits, like watermelon that contain high amounts of water naturally

If you just plain do not like the taste of water, find a water additive that you like, such as MiO or Crystal Lite for example. You can also infuse your water to add flavor.

Spring is coming, which means that Summer is not far behind. If you want to get in shape before then, the first step is to start drinking more water. Once you get hydrated, you will feel energized and motivated to get fit. And you will feel great!
