Fashion Friday: My Week of Costumes

Image
I know that I posted about Thanksgiving yesterday but I could not help but share my week of costumes for Fashion Friday. As I said last week, this week at work we had a themed day each day. I participated for all five days. I am also going to include my Trick-Or-Treat costume because I always dress up when I take my daughter. Monday Superhero Day I only had a cape and mask so I just decided to wear boots and call myself Super all day. Tuesday Sports Day I kept it simple by just wearing a shirt calling me out as the #1 Packers fan. And bonus, jeans on Tuesday! Wednesday Pajama Day How lucky am I as an adult to be able to wear PJs to an office?! :) I had to wear my leopard pants and moccasins. Thursday Videogame/ Cartoon Character Day And I decided to think outside of the box (hehe) and make my costume for this day. I found the idea for being a Game Boy on Pinterest and decided to recreate it. I f

How To Do Wednesday: Doing Disney On A Budget

Image
As some of you may already know, a few weeks ago I was on vacation in Anaheim, CA and I made my way to Disneyland! I knew that I wanted to go but it had to be done on a budget so I spent countless hours researching and I wanted to put all of my findings in one post. This blog entry will include ticket costs, researching park hours, and other helpful tips for your visit to Disney. Ticket Prices Screenshot of prices from Disneyland.com Honestly, you will be extremely lucky if you get your Disney tickets for cheap because they are the highest priced item of your visit! Disney encourages you to get your discount by going for multiple days, but again it can get pricy. Things to Buy Before Disney Mickey/ Minnie Ears (starting at $18.00 on site) Disney character shirts or outfits (these are sooo pricy at Disney) Autograph Book (starting at $8.00 on site) Character Pen (no joke, the cheapest ink pen is $6.00) Water Bottle (you can bring it in with you empty) Snacks (cereal

Fashion Friday (On Saturday): Simple DIY Halloween Costumes

Image
So I did not have a chance to blog yesterday so I decided to just publish something today. I was looking around on Pinterest to find simple DIY costumes that can be made with items from your closet and I found a few super simple ideas. Since I have my own Halloween party to go to today, I am just going to link my top choices below with the photos and link my search results  here   if you want to see even more costume ideas. One tip that I do have is try to use eyeliner and lipstick instead of Halloween makeup if you are using simple colors or designs. 1. Identity Theft You would probably have to buy the stickers. This costume is very clever! 2. Minnie Mouse These are just two versions of the way that you can dress as Minnie but the possibilities are pretty endless! You just need a pair of ears.   3. Scarecrow The possibilities for this costume are endless because you can change the shirt, boots, the way you draw your stitches, et
