Non-Fat Tuesday: Germaine's Cake Cookies

Image
In October of 2013, my grandma Germaine passed away. This will be our second Christmas without her in my family and we all miss her sooooo much! In honor of my grandma and keeping her spirit alive, I wanted to post her recipe for cake cookies. Did you know that you can make cookies out of cake mix? My grandma did it every year with a variety of cake flavors and they are amazing! They also stay soft for over a week and they are so easy to make. What You Will Need 1- 18.25 Oz Box Cake Mix 2-Eggs 1/2 Cup Oil 2-Tablespoons Water Sprinkles (Jimmies) of Your Choice Directions Combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and water in a bowl. Place batter in the freezer for 30 minutes to thicken. Roll into 2-inch balls on a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Sprinkles Add your sprinkles to the cookies about half way through baking. If you try to add them when you take them out of the oven, they will not stick to your cookie. **Thank you for reading! Non-Fat Tuesday: 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

As promised, I am continuing with "fatty" recipes for the remainder of December. I found this recipe for Peanut Butter Cookies in the WE Energy Cookie Book this year and it is amazing! And yes, it is only three ingredients! What You Will Need 1-Cup Peanut Butter 1-Cup Granulated Sugar 1-Egg 1. Mix all ingredients until smooth. 2. Roll into 2-inch balls and place on cookie sheet. 3. Use a fork to press the cookies down before baking. 4. Bake at 350 degrees for 14-16 minutes or until golden brown. You can also add Hershey's Kisses to your cookies before baking instead of pressing them down with a fork. **Thanks for reading. TRY THIS RECIPE! Leave your recipe requests in the comments below. Let me just start off my announcing that I am not pregnant! :) But I have a few special ladies in my life that are so I wanted to dedicate this post to them: Jessica K, ______, and ______ I love you all! I had to put blanks for now because two of the pregnancies are unannounced at this point, so sorry! While I was pregnant with my daughter, I worked on my feet all day as a waitress and walked miles per day. I also did yoga so I stayed pretty fit during my pregnancy. While all women are not the same, it is best to stay active while pregnant if you can so that you have an easy labor. And minimize your weigh gain if you want to do that. Today I am going to share some pregnancy fitness videos from YouTube that I found and the link to a board that I created on Pinterest for pregnancy fitness. You also have my promise to work out with you if you chose to do so after reading this post, ladies! YouTube Pregnancy Yoga Pregnancy Dance Cardio Pregnancy Low-Impact Toning ...
