Thrifty Thursday: DIY- Multipurpose Stand + GIVEAWAY!!
DIY Storage Stand
What you will need:
Directions:
1. Hot glue the bottom of the rim of the candlestick holder.
2. Set on the center of plate immediately as the glue dries quickly. Pick up the plate by the candlestick holder after about a minutes to test the strength of your glue. Add more glue around the edge or re-glue completely if necessary.
3. Put glue the top rim of the candlestick holder.
4. Center second plate and place on top of the candlestick holder. Remember to do this quickly so the glue doesn't dry.
5.Decide the placement of the figurine and then add a thick layer of hot glue.
6. Place on top of the second plate and hold firmly for ten seconds.
Finished Result:
This is just a variation but you can definitely be clever with the idea. I found all of the materials for this stand from Goodwill. I chose these plates because I could easily cover the image in the center and I loved the gold rim that they had! The whole stand cost me about $3.50.
I have made this stand before using the same sized plates on top and bottom. You can also substitute the candlestick holder for a wine glass and fill it with potpourri or glass rocks, or even build a three layer stand.
Uses for your stand:
Nail Polish Holder
Jewelry Stand
Makeup Stand
This also makes a very nice cupcake/muffin stand (sorry, no photo). So, as I mentioned in the title, this post is including a giveaway! One lucky winner will receive this stand, along with the two makeup products on the stand. I know it isn't much but I appreciate those of you who continue to click when I share my posts!
