Fashion Friday: Black Friday 2014

Well, its here... Black Friday. Did you go shopping? I did and always do but I was not out at 6PM when some of the stores opened. I actually had a pretty pleasant experience, it was not too busy out there and I got a lot of great deals! Today's post will include a few of the items that I got, along with my promised Outfit Of The Day for Thanksgiving and makeup. I can't share much because most of what I bought were gifts but I will share what I can. 1. Kohl's Horse Hoody and Slippers for my daughter. The slippers were half price and the hoody was on clearance at 60% off! Body spray and lip balms for my little sisters. Shh!! 2. Target 2-Pack of Throw Pillows This pack was on sale for $12. I may try a DIY in the near future with them and add a pattern. white suede 3. The Children's Place $5 novelty tees and half-priced boots. Last week on How To Do Wednesday, I posted part one of a two part series on resume and interviewing tips. While I said that I would post part two this week, I decided to postpone it a week due to the holiday. So, part two, Interviewing Tips , to come next Wednesday. Every year, Christmas is pushed upon us earlier and earlier, with Thanksgiving is disregarded here in America. Retail executives also are now making consumers choose between getting a good deal on an expensive item or eating dinner with family. And no I am not discouraging anyone to shop, but for the time that you do spend with family. I hope that you really think about what you are grateful for and enjoy the holiday in the moment. Non-Fat Tuesday: Simple Thanksgiving Recipes

image from seabrookwa.com Only two days left until Thanksgiving! So, in honor of the holiday, I am dedicating Non-Fat Tuesday to yummy Thanksgiving food. I did not include anything about turkey in this post just to keep it simple. These recipes are special because they are all my mom's recipes! I am so thankful for her so this is for you mom! Hopefully you actually read my blog, haha. Garlic Mashed Potatoes Serves 10-12 Ingredients 5 -Pounds Red Potatoes, cubed (peeling optional) 1 ½ -Cup Butter ½ -Cup Romano Cheese, grated ¼ -Cup Garlic, minced 2- Teaspoons Salt 2- Teaspoons Oregano Directions 1. Boil potatoes in lightly salted water until soft. 2. Remove from flame and drain. 3. Add in the remaining ingredients.
