Makeup Monday: Spring Lips
Happy Monday to you! Hope that you had a wonderful weekend. I know that this is a bit late into the Spring season but I really wanted to do a Spring Lip Pick for 2015, I actually was planning this post for about a month now but I just did not have time to do any swatches.
Since there are sooo many products on the market, I am sticking with shade selections instead of naming specific brands. Most of these items are drugstore and can be found at Walmart or Target. I will be doing more makeup reviews in the future, I am really just trying to work out a schedule right now for life/blogging. So without any more explanation, on to the color choices!
Rose Toned Lips
If you haven't noticed by now, nude pallets are popping up everywhere and from every major drugstore brand. With nude eyes trending this Spring, rose toned lipsticks and glosses are the perfect pair for a great daytime smokey eye look. These colors will add just enough pigment to your lips to brighten your skin, while offering you a natural makeup look.
Pink
Hello, Barbie! I am loving this lip trend. While all of these shades seem to appear the same, they do vary in pigment and formula. If I had to chose, I got have to pick the Wet n Wild Lipstick (#3) as my top choice because the rich pigment is long lasting, the formula is creamy, and it was only $0.88 at Target! See below:
Peach/ Coral
Make your skin appear brighter with peach and coral lip tones. I really love the Peach Poppy shade above. The formula is creamy yet offers a natural look. These colors would also be a great pair for nude eyes.
Nude Lips
Personally, when I think nude lips, I think dark eyes but not in 2015! This Spring, Nude is trending and this includes lips. So if you are after a complete "no-makeup" look, finish your face with a nude lip. I am still indifferent about how I feel about this trend, personally.
**I hope that you enjoyed this post. What are your favorite lip products and colors this Spring? Leave it in the comments below. Thanks for reading!**
I love your expose' on makeup. I don't use a lot of makeup anymore but I enjoy reading about the different brands and what you think of them. So nude colors are in now? Reminds me of the 60's and that nude pink lipstick was all the rage. I wore it but looking back at photos now it looks like I have no lips at all!!
ReplyDeleteThe 60s are very trendy right now! Bohemian is the style name.. retro :)
